Collaboration with the artist André for a performance combining graphic and video mapping.
The Galeries Lafayette is an iconic French store chain founded in 1912, and is the biggest in Europe. It all started in Paris with its famous store Boulevard Haussmann. Then, the group extended itself to other French cities as well as foreign countries, in nearly every continents.
More than a century after its creation, in 2019 the brand celebrated the opening of a new store in Shanghai, China. For such an event, the Galeries Lafayette wanted to offer a very visual show, using new technologies and digital art.
To do so, in collaboration with the street-artist André, we produced a video mapping illustrating a Hausmannian facade, mixed with the live painting of the artist. All the brand’s codes were used for this event, from the architecture of its Parisian store to the installation of a red Eiffel Tower.
