How we process
CONCEPT DESIGN
Concept Design represents the project’s kick-off phase. It responds to the client’s initial brief and aims to establish the overall strategy, storyline and artistic approach to be developed throughout the subsequent phases. At this stage, WB’s internal or external multidisciplinary teams explore new and inspiring creative possibilities to translate our client’s vision into a conceptual proposal that will evolve into the ultimate experience.
Schematic Design
Schematic Design is the translation of the approved concept into a technical reality. The main objective of this phase is to develop and refine the strategy, storytelling, scale and scope of the experience, while defining, prototyping and evolving all the different elements making it up. Storyboards, visual renderings, preliminary drawings and materials lists will be produced along with a preliminary budget. The Facility Impact Report will be detailed enough for the design freeze.
DETAILED DESIGN
Design Development is the evolution of schematic designs into detailed documentation that makes the project ready to be produced or built during the next phases. All the various teams work together to create a final design that will later become a unique live experience. Scripts, animatics, technical drawings, materials lists and a project timeline are produced and updated along with a detailed budget. The Facility Impact Report is finalized at a detailed level so as not to jeopardize the civil engineering and works.
PRODUCTION
Production starts with the initiation of the soft content (audio and visual) and scenic elements or the launch of the procurement. Our production team will follow manufacturing and procurement. After Dust-Free status and during the bump-in phase, all the elements arrive on site and are installed by the skilled technical team and local support staff. All equipment is then tested and commissioned with a Site Acceptance Test (SAT) conducted in conjunction with the Operations and Maintenance Team.
IMPLEMENTATION
Once installation is complete, the task of programming begins to make sure that all the multimedia elements are married creatively before the logs and training manuals are finally produced. Simultaneously with this process, the show control system is programmed and all programming is performed while taking all the show control parameters into account. Several days after the commencement of the programming, WB will first run closed tests. Shows are locked after client feedback. All equipment is controlled by the Operations teams.
HANDOVER AND FOLLOW UP
After implementation and client acceptance, the features or show are fully handed over to the client. The WB team will follow the operations run and processes for several weeks and can fine-tune any procedures as needed.
